A lesson from Martha Stewart

It’s easy during this job search time to get down on myself for not having done better in law school, and to start thinking that lots of options will be foreclosed because of my past failures or shortcomings. Since I’m home all the time with nothing to do but call and e-mail everyone in the world to ask for a job, I have been watching Martha Stewart every day, and I am really impressed by how she has put her errors and misfortunes behind her and moved on, and is as fabulous as ever. It’s a good lesson.

She’s even wearing a black and white striped shirt today. Good for her! I love Martha. She’s a Leo too!

Today I’m going to go to the career services office at my school and poke around and look at the legal newspapers that have a lot of jobs listed. Beyond that, I will continue making calls, sending emails, and applying for every job in the world. Trying to stay positive.
